Mark Darr Announces Campaign Chairman

Rogers, AR: Mark Darr, Republican candidate for Lieutenant Governor, is pleased to announce the appointment of Eric Harris as Campaign Chairman. Harris, a former state representative from Springdale was first elected to the legislature in 2003. He was term limited in 2008. Darr stated, "Eric Harris has been a voice for transparency in state government since elected to the legislature. He is a fighter for common sense in government. It is an honor to have him on our team." Harris like Mark Darr is a small business owner. He is best known for sponsoring the legislation that became Amendment 86 which called for a fiscal session in even number years. It was overwhelmingly approved by voters. Harris also sponsored legislation that allowed the Arkansas legislature and committee meetings to be broadcast on the internet. Both went into effect in Arkansas on Monday. "Arkansas government needs Mark Darr. Mark is a common sense conservative who will hold all elected officials accountable. He will fight out-of-control spending and government waste.
